Here are a few photos I have taken along my travels. I am working on how to upload photos in a post. Who knows? This jar I threw today. The ax fence is in California at Midland School. I love the way things get fixed by necessity. An old broken ax handle does not get thrown away, it becomes part of a fence that needs tightening. The red striped mugs I have been working on since I got back from a trip to Jamaica.

In my sculptures, carefully considered fragments and layers accumulate organically across each surface. One might recognize floral motifs, snowflakes, microbes or calligraphy within the ambiguous multi-layered surfaces. Yet a sense of order remains, or re-establishes itself, as these embellishments are coupled with overlapping lines and areas of solid color.
